Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is a body of 5 persons who are elected annually by the families who are members of the Cooperative. At least a majority of the Board Members must also be members of the Cooperative.

The Board of Directors, immediately after each election, then selects its own officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer) who serve at the pleasure of the Board.

The Board has the overall responsibility of setting policies and procedures to govern the cooperative, establishing an annual budget in order to meet the ongoing expenses (including debt service, utility bills, maintenance costs, reserves, and other expenses), establishing monthly housing charges sufficient to generate income to meet those expenses, hiring experts in a variety of fields to advise them (including attorneys, accountants, a managing agent, and others), and to generally be certain that the corporation continues to meet its obligations to its members to provide quality housing at affordable rates.

The current members of the Board of Directors are:

Toni Edson, President

Edna Spearman, Vice President

Daniel Hoogerhyde, Secretary

Stephanie Spratling, Treasurer

Mavis Smith, 2nd Vice President
